CNC Miller – Machine Cell Setter / Operator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established manufacturing business in Bedford. This role will focus on the setting and operation of CNC milling machines within a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture components to specification

• Select appropriate tooling and prepare machine setups

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions

• Inspect finished components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met

• Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain efficient production

• Work closely with the production team to meet build schedules

• Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping in the work area

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment

• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling

• Good mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability

• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
