CNC Miller – Setter/Operator (Heidenhain) | up to £55k DOE | High Wycombe | Days | Overtime @ 1.5x

Are you a CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) with strong setting and operating experience? Do you take pride in producing high-precision components in a hands-on, workshop-based role? We’re working with a well-established, precision engineering company in High Wycombe who are looking to add a CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) to their growing team.
This is a permanent, full-time CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) position, offering a competitive salary, with overtime paid at time and a half. The business operates in a clean, well-organised machine shop, producing high-specification, often one-off or small-batch components.

The Role:
•    Set and operate CNC milling machines to high precision standards
•    Work on low to medium volume jobs, including bespoke and one-off parts
•    Use Heidenhain controls (experience essential)
•    Interpret engineering drawings with a high level of accuracy
•    Conduct first-off inspections and maintain quality throughout production
•    Contribute to a collaborative team of engineers focused on quality and precision

✅ What We’re Looking For:
•    Proven CNC milling experience – ideally 5+ years in a precision engineering environment
•    Strong setting and operating skills (programming/editing is a bonus)
•    Confident with Heidenhain controls (other control knowledge beneficial: Fanuc, Siemens, etc.)
•    Able to work independently to tight tolerances
•    Versatility across other machines (turning, grinding, EDM etc.) is advantageous but not essential
•    A hands-on, can-do attitude and solid work ethic
