Engineering Manager
Location: New Malden, Surrey
Salary: c.£68,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- As the Lead Engineer for a specific project delivery and focal point for all engineering issues across multiple technical domains
- Working with IPT Lead/Project Managers overseeing all aspects of engineering
Supporting:
- Engineering estimation for cost-to-complete exercises and bids
- Processes management & modification ensuring efficient, accurate programme execution
- Development & execution of resource plans; forward load forecasting and engineer’s reassignment
- Creating/managing engineering activities, delivery plans across a broad range of technical areas
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
• Knowledge and experience in use of Combat System Equipment design processes utilising Life-cycle Management guidelines
• Understanding of Project Management techniques (EV, CPI, SPI, Risk etc.)
Experience in:
- Engineering or a defence related industry
- Development and delivery of large-scale computer IT systems: Avionics/Rail/Systems Integration/Digital Systems)
Desirable:
• Experience of complex projects at EM level in a multi-disciplinary environment

The Naval Ships Combat Systems team:
As an Engineering Manager, you will provide engineering and management expertise in the delivery of CDIG projects/programmes varying in value between £250k through to more than millions of pounds which may have a significant headcount.
