Job Title: Principal Engineer Ship Aviation

Location: Scotstoun

What you’ll be doing:

• Assists in the production of estimates, creates and/or assists in the production of design requirement specifications

• Develops, promotes, and shares new technologies for implementation across businesses and programme(s)

• Typically undertakes the responsibility, however not accountability of technical or design authority for a sub-system(s)

• Provides technical leadership and guidance on matters relating to a discipline, may occasionally lead a team of engineers including line management responsibility

• Works independently or as part of a small team

Your skills and experiences:

• The role holder will require knowledge and experience of naval and / or commercial ship systems with the experience to support system and spatial integration issues with other disciplines

• Degree qualified (RQF Level 6/SCQF Level 9) or equivalent experience in a technology, engineering, or science related discipline

• Working towards CEng (or registered as IEng)

• Basic membership of a Professional Engineering Institute recognised by the Engineering Council

• Experience with Ship aviation design is desirable

• Experience of Certification through Naval Authority Groups is desirable
