What you’ll be doing:

  • Efficiently operating manufacturing processes
  • Responsibility for the safety of employees working within the manufacturing area
  • Implementing the SHE policy, legislation and safe systems of work
  • Responsibility for the delivery of manufacturing KPI’s including quality and cost reporting
  • Direct responsibility for all team members including training, development, discipline
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the manufacturing area is managed in a cost effective and efficient way
  • Supporting and implementing CI activities utilising lean tools & problem solving techniques
  • Scheduling and supporting maintenance activities within your area

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Time Served Apprentice or HND/ Degree Engineering qualified
  • Experience working with managing technicians/technical people
  • Computer literacy

Desirable:

  • Qualified in IOSH and/or Environmental Managing Safety
  • SAP experience

The Manufacturing team:

You will have responsibility for a team of technicians and operators in the efficient and effective production of small arms ammunition across single and/or rotating shift patterns assuming responsibility for a manufacturing area, ensuring we are delivering against the businesses key performance indicators.
