Hudson Shribman are seeking an Controls Engineer to join our client in Peterborough

Controls Engineer Responsibilities

• Creating PLC and HMI programs for machines and systems
• Design, implement, maintain and improve PLC and HMI programs
• Perform safety calculation for machines and systems
• Provide advice/support with electrical issues
• Develop and document test procedures for designed machinery
• Making sure projects meet electrical safety regulations
• Assist with site commissioning worldwide

Controls Engineer Requirements

• Have worked in a similar role
• Experience with PLC programming
• Knowledge of either Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi is essential
• Understanding of electrical concepts, electrical power systems, computers and software
• Experience of industrial networks such as CC IE Link, ProfineT, Profibus or Ethernet/IP
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering – desirable

Hours – 37 hours a week

Hybrid work is available

Salary £50k to £60k depending on experience
