Head of Engineering

Location: Wolverhampton

Are you an experienced engineering leader looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Head of Engineering to drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for overseeing product design, development, and manufacturing processes, while leading a team of engineers to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product development engineers.

• Drive engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

• Oversee product design and development, ensuring compliance with certification and regulatory standards.

• Implement Design for Manufacture methodology and manage engineering change control.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure robust process control and quality assurance systems are in place.

• Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

• Work with global engineering teams to ensure compliance with international standards.

• Provide technical expertise and support to the wider business.

Key Requirements:

• Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).

• Proven experience leading engineering teams within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong background in both design engineering and process engineering.

• Track record of delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
