Our client, a global manufacturer based in West London, is seeking a skilled Paint and Prime Operator to join their cutting-edge anodizing and paint facility. The successful Paint and Prime Operator will be responsible for applying primer and topcoat paint finishes to aerospace components, ensuring high-quality surface finishes that meet stringent industry standards. This is an amazing opportunity for the right  Paint and Prime Operator. 
Responsibilities will be but not limited to:
 

  • Surface Preparation: Prepare aerospace components by cleaning, masking, and applying surface treatments (TSA/BSA) to ensure readiness for priming and painting.
  • Priming and Painting: Apply primers and topcoat paints using HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray guns and other relevant equipment.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parts before and after painting to ensure proper adhesion, uniform coverage, and high-quality surface finishes that comply with aerospace standards.
  • Mixing and Matching Paints: Accurately mix paints and primers to meet technical specifications, colour matching and consistency.
  • Compliance: Follow aerospace industry safety and quality standards, including AS9100 and Nadcap certifications.
  • Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of spray guns, booths, and related equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Documentation: Complete all required documentation, including process sheets, quality checks, and work orders, maintaining traceability of finished parts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial painting, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industries.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with TSA, BSA processes, and paint specifications for aerospace components.
  • Skills: Proficient in spray painting, masking, and surface preparation techniques.
  • Certifications: Nadcap or other relevant certifications are an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to consistently produce high-quality finishes with precision.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20kg, stand for extended periods, and work in environments requiring PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

 

Working period:
37.5hrs/week

Shift:
10.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. There will also be half hour unpaid daily lunch breaks.
