What you’ll be doing:
- Within the Naval Ships Future Programmes team, manage and maintain of requirements using requirements development and associated assurance / acceptance characteristics
- Generation, management and maintenance of requirement, acceptance and compliance details
- Engage with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to support the resolution of relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives
- Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development
- Maintaining a level of SQEP for the role through personal and professional development
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Detailed experience in the use of DOORs to configure the management of Requirements & acceptance across multiple products
- Demonstrable experience in Systems Engineering methodologies across the Engineering lifecycle to delivery efficient outputs meeting internal & external requirements
- Understanding of the engineering lifecycle
- Knowledge of requirements development and management practices
- High level of competence and capability with requirements management tools and techniques
Desirable:
- Comprehensive understanding of Complex systems in the defence environment
- Understanding of Naval Ships / Combat Systems requirements design and acceptance

The Future Programmes Systems Engineering team:
As part of this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and management of project requirements and assist the Subject Matter Experts to develop evidence to demonstrate to the customer that the requirement have been met. You will also work with key stakeholders to ensure the provision of engineering expertise.
