Welder/Fabricator (Ship)
Our client is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator who is ready for a new challenge. This position is located in Canada and offers excellent benefits, including a relocation bonus and paid visa. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and a strong passion for their work. As a Welder/Fabricator, your main role will be to fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, utilizing your knowledge of welding techniques and engineering requirements. If you possess these key skills, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
oMust have a background in ship refitting specific. Preferable to have experience of new build background.
oUnderstanding of shipbuilding/ship repair practices
oUnderstand equipment manuals and installation guides.
oSteel MIG/MMA coding’s
oBe able to work with equipment plasma cutting, gas cutting, guillotines, radial drills, presses, welding equipment and hand tools.
Key Skills of a Welder/Fabricator:
oRead and interpret blueprints and working drawings
oPlan fabrication & welding work and make estimates of materials required
oRelevant Engineering experience
oExcellent Attention to detail
oGreat Independence
oStrong Passion
